Job Description The objective of the Space Protection and Response Solutions is to provide innovative technology solutions to ensure our Nation's space mission capabilities in a multi-domain, joint and coalition conflict. We're looking for a senior software engineer to use the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling simulation software to support space control and multi-domain operations. These simulations will support force structure planning, National Space Test and Training Complex - Digital, Joint Combatant Command analysis and operations support, Space Force testing and training, and research and development of space systems. As a Software Engineer 4, you will be expected to maintain and manage workflow of junior engineers, in addition to leading projects under the Space Protection and Response Solution program. The majority of work will be on-site at Kirtland AFB inside of JWICS terminals for classified information exchange, team meetings, with periodic travel to support various customers across the continental US. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance. #LI-JA1 Essential Job Responsibilities Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
