Job description
Notability is an industry-leading note taking application with expressive drawing capabilities that make full use of the power of the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro.
We are excited to bring on our first Data Analyst who can help us optimize our business understanding by leveraging data to drive insights and facilitate decision making. Our ideal candidate will directly report to the CPO and partner with stakeholders across the company to enable self service access to the data they need, and work on reporting and analysis to track revenue and improve Notability.
This role is expected to be on-site 2-3 times per week in our San Francisco office.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with senior leadership and product teams to use data to drive insights and facilitate decision making
- Develop interactive dashboards and automate reports
- Lead the development and implementation of our revenue forecasting model
- Work across multiple teams to standardize, document and generate core metrics for our business and our product
- Identify trends and patterns in complex data sets to develop actionable insights
- Define, understand, and test opportunities to improve the products and business and influence roadmaps
- Collaborate with the product team to instrument and measure new initiatives
- Clearly communicate findings and recommendations
- Validate, clean, and maintain data integrity to guarantee the reliability of our analyses
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, math/statistics or related field
- Proficient with at least one programming language like Typescript, Python or R
- Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases
- Experience with regression analysis, A/B testing, data modeling and reporting
- Ability to communicate data insights effectively with dashboards and visualizations
- Self-motivated, proactive and solution-oriented
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with GCP, AWS, DBX or related cloud technologies
- Experience with BI platforms like Causal, Tableau, Looker or Mode
- Experience with SAAS business models

For this position we are targeting a base pay between $120,000-$160,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
