Job description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Analyst. The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to help inform business decisions and strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen understanding of statistical methods, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. This position will also require resourcefulness, as you will occasionally be required to help troubleshoot data issues. We’re looking for someone who is a problem-solver with a strong attention to detail, and who acts with a sense of urgency and ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and patterns
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems for storing and organizing information
- Conduct statistical analysis and data modeling to help forecast future trends and outcomes
- Generate reports and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders and decision-makers
- Execute on both recurring and ad hoc reporting tasks for our Business, Operations, and Insurance Teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help optimize processes and drive business goals
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and data management
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis or a related role
- Proficiency in statistical software and database management tools (e.g. SQL)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail: thorough and accurate when working on tasks
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI,Retool)
- Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques.
