We are seeking a dynamic System Engineer to join our versatile software systems team that is on a mission to build out enterprise and customer facing applications focused on automated hardware configuration, order processing/delivery, customer facing APIs, customer facing portals, and workflow/process automation. As an ideal candidate, you will have a background and gravitation toward building applications that interact with hardware systems across hardware manufacturers as well as contributing to internal application and order processing system build outs.

Your day-to-day:

• Lead and contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery
• Investigate and solve engineering challenges in process and workflow automation
• Design and build advanced automated systems responsible for setting up and configuring data center infrastructure
• Design and build customer- facing APIs and web portals
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with and influence others to improve the overall design

What you will bring to the team:

• You bring extensive knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and database systems around MySQL/SQL Server
• You have strong Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving
• Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
• Working knowledge with modern JavaScript libraries or frameworks.

How do you Qualify:

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and you bring with you 5-10 years’ professional experience within an engineering role.
• Strong focus in Linux based custom OS experience, Linux customization, troubleshooting, scripts and commands around Linux architecture.
• 2+ years of hands-on technical experience in Unix/Linux environments, including experience with CentOS and/or RHEL.
• Show us your advanced experience with Chef and/or Ansible; and it would be nice if you have additional professional application experience with various configuration management tools (Puppet, Salt, etc.).
• Extensive experience with scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or another common language.
• Working knowledge in AWS Cloud (Certifications are preferred but not mandatory), and it would be nice if you had any additional experience in other Public/Private Cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Proficient experience in Python and at least one other modern programming language (Java, C/C++, C#, or Ruby).

Compensation:

The base salary range for this full-time position in the US is $100,000-$120,000 / annually + bonuses + benefits. Redapt salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the base pay offered may vary within the range depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to work location, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant education/training, and level of experience.
