Job description
Boar's Head Resort is now accepting applications for Swim Instructors to join our Sports Club team! As a Swim Instructor, you will be working closely with the Aquatics Manager to determine lesson schedules, emergency procedures, lesson procedures/protocols, paperwork, certificates, and registration.
Some essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Meet with Aquatics Manager to review all policies and procedures.
- Attend occasional team meetings to discuss suggestions, techniques and address customer comments.
- Provide excellent customer service in a professional manner according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations.
- Communicate directly with students and parents of students regarding lesson scheduling and student progress.
- Maintain a well-organized program tracking attendance system, registration and instructor hours/commissions.
- Act as a substitute for other Instructors when needed.
- Teach Private and Group Swimming Lessons while following BHSC protocols, procedures and policies.
In order to be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
Essential
- Strong swimming ability.
- Good organizational, communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with swim lesson programs and coordinating registration/attendance, skill sheets and recording instructor hours.
Desirable
- Prior experience in swim lesson instruction.
- Prior guest service experience.
- Water safety certification.
- Lifeguard certification.
