A Cyber Security Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between cybersecurity and business operations within an organization.
They play a crucial role in ensuring that the organization's digital assets are protected from cyber threats and that security measures align with business objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
Consult stakeholders and map out current processes related to security use cases and define target state process and requirements to support design and implementation.
Consider user and developer experience to ensure processes are pragmatic and simple to follow.
"Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potentialsecurity risks and vulnerabilities in the organization's systems,networks, and applications."
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their security needs and translate them into technical requirements.
"Analyze business processes and systems to identify security gaps and recommend appropriate security controls. Develop and implement security strategies, policies,and procedures to protect the organization's data and systems. Assist in the selection and implementation of security technologies, tools, and solutions."
Additional Responsibilities:
"Monitor and analyze security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend remediation actions. Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices."
Provide guidance and support to business units on security-related matters. Conduct security awareness training and education programs for employees. Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.
Required Qualifications:
"Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security,or a related field. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the cybersecurity domain. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards. Familiarity with risk management frameworks and methodologies."
"Experience in conducting risk assessments and vulnerability assessments. Knowledge of security technologies,tools,and solutions."
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effect vely collaborate with stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to haves:
"Professional security certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Cloud Security and Professional (CCSP)"
Experience with cybersecurity operations
