About the role

Location: This role must be based out of East Hanover, NJ and requires being on-site 3 times per week.


This role will follow an 80-100% working schedule.


The US Immigration and Mobility team is seeking an Immigration and Mobility Specialist to support in Global Mobility team projects and other day to day Immigration related matters across the US.


What you will be doing:


• Support Novartis US immigration case processing and government filings including employment-based non-immigrant visa and permanent residency applications
• Liaise with Talent Acquisition, P&O stakeholders, and mobility vendors to initiate and process immigration and mobility cases and resolve challenges
• Manage immigration correspondence from government agencies including USCIS, DOS, DOL, CBP, etc. and escalate any compliance concerns/issues
• Facilitate immigration reports including employment data report, new employee report, gross-up report, immigration expense report, etc.
• Learn US Immigration & Global Mobility program policies and processes in order to support the team in addressing immigration and mobility related inquiries
• Coordinate periodic immigration/mobility webinars and trainings with external vendors for P&O and associates
• Assist with administrative duties and Global Mobility-related projects as needed.


Role Requirements

• Relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry required.
• Experience in immigration and/or global mobility preferred.
• Excellent research, problem solving, and time management skills.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in data analysis and preparation of reports
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $66,000.00 and $99,000.00 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
