Peregrine Team is hiring for an Ortho Technician (Cast Tech) in Oakland, CA. This position is a full-time, contract to hire role with full benefits and competitive pay.
$50 - $55/hour
Job Duties: - Under the supervision of an Orthopedic Surgeon, the Orthopedics Technician is responsible for all phases of technical orthopedics including the safe and expert application of all standard and specialized pediatric casts, softgoods, DME and traction as well as accurate billing of cast room procedures and supplies.
- Interact in a courteous and professional manner with children and their families in a high volume, multi-cultural clinical setting.
- Good oral and communication skills.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree - Required
- 2+ years of full time experience as an Orthopedic Technician - Required
- 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting - Required
- Pediatric experience - Highly Desirable
- Shift: 40 hours (5x8) Days
