Job Description and Duties

Do you want to support California's natural resources in the work you perform every day? If so, the Department of Fish and Wildlife's License and Revenue Branch (LRB) is looking for you! You can have an impact by working collaboratively to help fulfill the Department of Fish and Wildlife's mission.

LRB has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work as a Seasonal Clerk in its Administrative Support Unit. Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the Seasonal Clerk is responsible for opening, logging, and sorting incoming mail, processing License Agent returned documents, assisting with quarterly inventory audits, and providing a variety of routine clerical duties, such as filing, photocopying, and preparing packets, files, and labels.

We're located in the new state-of-the-art LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Certified, California Natural Resources Agency Building in downtown Sacramento, right next to Sacramento Regional Transit Light Rail for an easy commute and a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The Seasonal Clerk classification is a non-testing classification.

Working Conditions

State housing is not available.

Requires work to be performed in an office environment using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and barcode scanner for several hours a day.

Special Requirements

The ability to read and write English and to do simple arithmetic computations.

Aptitude and willingness to perform simple clerical work; follow a prescribed routine; personal neatness and the ability to follow directions.
