PURPOSE: The Occupational Therapist (OT) addresses the performance of everyday activities and participation in roles and situations that occur in the home and community. Occupational Therapy OT services are provided to promote health and wellness to individuals who have or are at risk of developing an illness, injury, disease, disorder, condition, impairment, disability, activity limitation, or restricted participation in activities. (AOTA, 2004)
SCOPE & OBJECTIVE: - Occupational Therapy (OT) addresses physical, cognitive, sensory, communication, and other areas of performance in various contexts and environments in everyday activities that affect health, well-being, and quality of life. The goal of OT is to support the individual's health and participation in life through engaging in everyday activities. (AOTA, 2008)
- Functions under the direction of Therapy Supervisor, Rehabilitation Services Manager (RSM), and the Director of Patient Clinical Services (DPCS).
**Optimal compensates employees based on a per visit rate.** Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: - Graduate of an Occupational Therapy (OT) program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or its predecessor organizations
- Must hold a current Occupational Therapy (OT) license in the state of Colorado.
- Must be able to communicate in the language of the client and document client-related activity as appropriate.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Possesses adequate and effective written and verbal communication skills.
