NJ PHARMACY TECH LICENSE REQUIRED

Shifts available are:
Mon-Thurs 2:15pm-11:15pm Fri 2PM - 8PM (or Sun 7:30AM - 12:30PM)
Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with the CVS specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.
Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.
Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices.
Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant (packer) as needed.
Responsible for cleaning for all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas.
Able to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and in line with production standards.
Knows drug names and basic pharmacology knowledge.
Understands medical terminology utilized in a Pharmacy.
Able to collaborate with others to fill and ship accurate and timely orders.
Able to perform Ops Assistant (packer) responsibilities.
Pharmacy Technician registration required as prescribed by law or by CVS policy.
Must have understanding of basic Pharmacy law. ; Qualification Assessment Must Have CVS Caremark Requirements

Experience
REQUIRED: At least 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician
New Jersey Pharmacy Technician license is required
Prefer three months of work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.
Prefer three months of work computer experience.
Able to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and in line with production standards.

Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician you will assist in selecting, picking, packaging and labelling medication and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist in accordance with the specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.
A successful Pharmacy Technician will need to be very detailed oriented and be able to accurately count medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.
