Adecco is currently assisting a local client, recruiting for Building Maintenance Technician in Schenectady, New York. Requirements:
Knowledge, skill, and ability to perform basic building maintenance (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry) using hand tools, power tools and ladders
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems
Good verbal, writing, and record keeping skills
Must be able to work independently, without supervision, and work with volunteers
Must have reliable transportation
Candidates must undergo a background check
Job Responsibilities:
Perform general building maintenance, including:
Performing routine inspection of the building and systems to identify concerns or problems. Building systems include, but are not limited to; lighting, and related items, boiler, sump pump, fire alarm system, ventilation system, heating, air condition, plumbing and water system, clock timers, thermostats, fire doors and scaffolding
Performing minor repairs to building and systems (plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
Identifying the need for outside assistance, communicating with Trustees, and arranging for such assistance as necessary
Responding to emergency situations and informing the Trustees of the nature of the problem and possible solutions
