Job description
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Orchestrate the development of a system of interest, including encompassing hardware or software through its entire life cycle, from requirements determination through operations and system retirement, with an emphasis on domain expert involvement, risk and opportunity management, and tailoring of processes to meet the needs of the specific project.
- Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Work without considerable direction; mentor and may supervise team members.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with systems design and integration and testing activities
- Experience conducting system level trade studies to identify and balance conflicting requirements
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years directly related experience or Master degree and 3+ years directly related experience
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with requirements derivation and definition
- Experience with requirements validation and verification
- Experience with risk management
- Experience with engineering configuration management
- Experience with project management and small team leadership
- Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language of Unified Modeling Language
- Master’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
