Job description

Prominent full-service nationwide law firm with over 40 years of experience representing survivors of catastrophic and traumatic events is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Mass Tort Paralegal to join their team and assist with mass tort cases. Ideal candidates will have experience with mass tort, negligence and personal injury cases. Candidates must be dependable, organized, able to multitask, technologically proficient and an effective communicator given the high level of client contact required. This is a unique opportunity to join a respected and rapidly expanding law firm with a friendly and supportive office culture, while employing your legal skills in advancing a truly worthy cause. This position is onsite at the firm’s Melville, NY office.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting attorneys with obtaining documents and requesting records
• Heavy client contact in a high volume setting
• Drafting routine correspondence
• Maintaining client files
• Compiling and finalizing discovery material

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Paralegal, Mass Torts experience highly preferred
• Must have proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro
• Must be Highly organized and detail oriented
• Must have the ability to prioritize, take initiative, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must have superior verbal and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment and willing to be a team player
• Must live within a 30-45 minute drive from the Melville, NY office
