About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting leader to join our client providing Finance and Accounting Advisory across their portfolio of privately held commercial companies. This leader will operate in a Portfolio Management capacity, managing a diverse portfolio of accounting advisory projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality guidance to the executive leadership within these portfolio companies. This position requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional financial acumen, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Managing a portfolio of accounting advisory projects, including financial valuation and due diligence for perspective portfolio companies
- Financial modeling and analysis on portfolio company’s historical and future performance
- Delivering guidance around financial reporting, technical accounting, regulatory compliance, and other related areas.
- Prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project progress, address issues, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project completion.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and understanding their unique needs and requirements.
- Provide expert guidance and advice on complex accounting issues, offering innovative solutions to address client challenges.
- Collaborate with clients to develop strategic plans and recommendations to enhance financial reporting processes and compliance practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to foster professional development and growth.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices across the organization.
- Stay abreast of emerging accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends, ensuring compliance and best practices in financial reporting and advisory services.
- Conduct research and analysis on complex accounting issues, interpreting regulations and standards to provide accurate and reliable guidance to clients and team members.
- Develop thought leadership content, including articles, white papers, and presentations, to showcase expertise and enhance the firm's reputation in the accounting advisory space.
- Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and timelines, monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to client expectations and firm standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation, driving initiatives to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in accounting advisory, financial reporting, or related roles.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex client engagements, delivering high-quality services, and achieving client satisfaction.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and drive results.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying current on industry trends and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, develop solutions, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
