Job Opportunity: Financial Analyst
Location: Framingham, MA (Hybrid Schedule: In-office on Tuesdays/Wednesdays, Remote Monday/Thursday/Friday, 9AM-5PM)
We are seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst to join our team in Framingham, MA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing ongoing analytical support to enhance cost-effective operational performance. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of recent Financial Analyst experience, with a strong preference for those with consulting/FP&A experience.
**Responsibilities:**
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and allocating monthly store sales, labor, and controllable expense plans for each location. This involves evaluating and interpreting recent performance trends across a complex group of store-specific metrics while considering annual plan assumptions. Your role will also include:
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports to provide valuable insights into store performance.
- Assessing performance against plan and prior periods across various metrics influencing store profitability, productivity, wage rates, attrition, and considerations for non-traditional, start-up, and test formats.
- Influencing key decision-making through effective communication, data-driven analysis, and modeling.
- Presenting findings and recommendations that directly impact profits and expenses.
- Completing special projects as assigned.
**Major Areas of Responsibility:**
- Developing monthly labor and expense plans by location to create an operating plan for effective staffing and scheduling.
- Collaborating with District and Region Staff to provide support, challenge results, reassess needs, and offer analytic guidance.
- Providing accurate weekly and monthly reporting and analysis addressing performance to plan results on various metrics.
- Collaborating with analysts and accountants in all Digital Finance areas to support monthly operational planning, rolling plans, and month-end closing processes.
- Efficiently conducting research and inquiries to support ad-hoc analyses for sales and profit growth.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 3 years of financial analysis experience; Consulting or FP&A experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a similar subject area.
- Advanced Excel and business modeling skills are required.
- Prior knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and on multiple projects independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including a high level of attention to detail and a willingness to lead change.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience presenting to senior management.
- Experience communicating with individuals outside of Finance.
