Overview

Employed by PAGNY for NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln , located just 15 minutes from NYC, is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill-Cornell Medical College. Dedicated to providing high quality patient care to a diverse community, Lincoln Medical Center is a NYS designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers.

Responsibilities

Caring for newborn infants until they are ready to go home.

Providing prenatal care for high-risk infants.Assisting in premature or problematic deliveries, and helping if complications arise or if medical attention is necessary immediately after birth.

Caring for infants' nutrition to ensure optimal growth and development, and finding alternative ways to feed infants who struggle to suckle.

Assisting with medications and treating infants born with infections or who contract infections after birth.

Performing heart-lung bypass procedures for infants with breathing difficulties due to underdeveloped or damaged hearts and lungs.

Providing support to parents and helping them to understand and make decisions regarding their infant's condition and treatment.

Ensuring parents have sufficient opportunities to bond with their infants.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatology
• Possess or eligible for a New York State Medical License
• Ability to speak Spanish highly desired
• Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to hire
