Job description
UES, a Blue Halo Company is seeking a senior research scientist to lead a multidisciplinary research team to execute human subject research in support of the Force Health Protection Product Area in the 711th Human Performance Wing at Wright-Patterson AFB. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for leading multiple projects related to preventative health and interventions to protect and augment Airman health and performance. The candidate will have a role in directing program expansion through new proposals and collaborations.
Responsibilities will include project management tasks to ensure projects in the portfolio are completed within schedule and other constraints. The incumbent will assist in directing the efforts of other team members, as well as compile technical reports and presentations for communicating program status to customers and program leaders. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills, demonstrable written and oral communication skills, be independent and self-motivated, and possess an ability to work in collaborative, team-based environment.
- PhD in biology or bioengineering related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Prior experience developing Institutional Review Board protocols
- Prior experience in project management, including overseeing research teams
- Demonstrable previous experience in technical writing and presentation
- This position is onsite at a government facility and requires U.S. citizenship
