Job description
Boar's Head Resort is now accepting applications for seasonal Lifeguards to join our Sports Club team! As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for enforcing all pool policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all members and guests.
Some essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Provide pool surveillance with 100% attention across different pools and locations.
- Enforce all policies and procedures described in the Aquatics Staff Manual.
- Play a key role in implementing the Emergency Action Plan when required.
- Document all incidents on appropriate incident report forms.
- Maintain good communication with all staff members.
- Provide excellent customer service to all members and guests according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the pool and surrounding facility.
- Arrive on-time, ready and dressed appropriately for each shift.
In order to be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
Essential
- Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for Professional Rescuer and AED Certified.
- Ability to swim 300 yards non-stop and retrieve/swim a 10 pound brick.
- Possess high level of responsibility and attention.
Desirable
- Strong abilities in swimming.
- At least 16 years of age or older
- Previous experience teaching/coaching swimming.
- Background knowledge of pool chemistry.
- Prior lifeguard experience.
- Prior guest services experience.
