Job description

- Licensed Professional Surveyor, preferably in Florida and/or Louisiana, with ability to seek additional state licensure as needed.

- Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in hydrography, geomatics, geology, geophysics, geological oceanography, or related field of study.

- Must have strong leadership, communication, organizational, and technical/scientific writing skills.

- Experience with multibeam sonar survey design, implementation, data collection, data interpretation, product development, and reporting.

- Marine hydrographic data interpretation experience using Hypack.

- Experience with ArcGis, AutoCAD, Surfer software is preferred.

- Works independently with minimal guidance. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

- Has expertise in own discipline. Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations.

- Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies solutions to nonstandard requests.

- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services in own discipline.

- Monitors and controls costs within own work and Team's work.

- Manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities in own area.

- Explains difficult issues and works to establish consensus.

- Promotes teamwork; coaches and guides others.

- Typically has 10-20 years relevant experience.
