POSITION SUMMARY The Manager, Medical Affairs and Project Management will support the Director of Medical Affairs (MA) and Project Management in executing various MA initiatives/programs. This includes supporting and managing the Mirum grants processes; assisting with congress planning; KOL consulting contracts, advisory boards and other medical education projects. The assistant/manager will also assist the MA team daily medical affairs operations and internal meetings.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES - Project Management
- Manages grant and grants processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: monitoring the grants email inbox; communicating with grant submitters to ensure complete submissions, and the organization and storage of relevant documentation.
- Creation and development of the grant committee meeting slides, along with organizing and managing grants committee meeting, including minutes.
- Support the implementation of the grant’s portal. Manage the grants portal and grants process with the Director of MA, once the portal is up and functional.
- Assist the Director of MA with meeting planning/organization, congress planning and other key projects. These projects may include: updating/developing MSL slide decks, executing consultant contracts, and supporting advisory boards and satellite symposia.
- Support MA meetings internal meetings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including MA publications, communications, public relations and MSL team.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately.
- Monitor financial aspects of projects to stay within the approved budget.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all projects adhere to regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to address any regulatory issues that may arise during the project.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Generate regular reports on project status, milestones achieved, and any deviations from the project plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- RN, NP, PA, PharmD, PhD, MD and a minimum of 3 years of experience at a pharmaceutical company.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry in general and some familiarity with the company products and competitors.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (SharePoint/MS Teams/Microsoft office suite)
- Strong working knowledge of virtual platforms (Zoom)
- Strong computer skills
