job summary:
Trusted data starts with complete, accurate, and valid master data. The Product Data Steward will be responsible for being a subject matter expert and adherence to enterprise-wide product master data strategy, ensuring data quality within the product master data, promoting data governance and auditing for compliance and corrective action. Partnership across functional areas (i.e. Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure all elements of the product master data are complete, accurate and driving the correct systemic activities within Oracle Fusion Cloud.
The Product Data Steward completes change requests upon approval and maintains the quality of the product data master at the organization. Develops consistent data in accordance with the business rules of the corporation. Responsibilities also include data scrubbing, monitoring data entry exception, data de-duplication, ensuring overall data quality.
Deliverables & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices within Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Audit on a consistent cycle, new entries to the Oracle Fusion Cloud Product Information Management (PIM) module for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness.
- Generate metrics and reporting for the same.
- Develop and maintain data mapping and transformation rules to ensure data consistency and compliance.
- Work closely with IT and Business teams to ensure seamless data integration between Oracle Fusion Cloud, Solidworks, CADLink, and other enterprise systems, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other data stewards and business users to resolve data-related issues and support data maintenance activities as well as own functional design for the end-to-end master data lifecycle management.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and training for product data management processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related discipline
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience in data governance or business analysis role
- Manufacturing and/or engineering experience, required
- Experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Product Hub, preferred
- Knowledge of and experience working in the following tools: Solidworks, PDM, CADlink...
- Effective communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in executing data governance or data stewardship programs, as well as knowledge of data governance, data management and data quality standards and practices associated with master data management concepts
- Required/Preferred Certifications
