Job Summary: As an Engineer II, Maintenance, you will be responsible for working with maintenance & production and assisting with projects, major maintenance, and managing outages & shutdowns. This role also involved research, design, and assessment of new equipment, tools, processes, and standards in the areas of safety, people, quality, cost, and responsiveness for both maintenance and production.
Job Responsibilities: - Research new equipment, tools, and processes, and assess compatibility with current systems.
- Manage multiple projects within the maintenance organization related to planned outages, major maintenance, shutdowns, or miscellaneous projects.
- Design equipment, processes, and standards for both maintenance and production.
- Lead troubleshooting events and manage completion of repairs from those events.
- Conduct audits, benchmarking studies, and research within external machine shops
- Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) process which includes the creation of new PMs, and evaluation of existing PMs to determine effectiveness and ensure thorough completion of PMs in designated timeframes.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in melting processes of Ti (Std/HCN/Eli) base superalloys.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance personnel to develop improvements to manufacturing processes and standards that enhance safety in the workplace, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Lead or participate in team-based continuous improvement activities including risk assessments, problem-solving reports, process audits, and standard work.
- Support internal/external customers by analyzing process data, chemistry data, and non-destructive testing data.
- Coordinate with Product Engineering and R&D in the development, evaluation, and standardization of new products and processes.
- Direct product line responsibility as opportunities arise including ingot finished goods.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field OR 4 years of Mechanical Design experience
- 3 years of Mechanical Design Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience
- PLC troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications: - Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Six Sigma Black/Green Belt or related certification
- Statistical data analysis using JMP, Mini-Tab, or related software
- Maximo or other CMMS experience
