Job description

Zak The Baker, James Beard Nominated and Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient, is an Artisan Bakery & Cafe in Wynwood that is now looking to hire an Assistant General Manager for the Cafe/Bakery. Qualified candidates should have a hospitality degree and/or a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in food and beverage service. This is a leadership position that requires advanced technical knowledge of the craft (service), along with leadership experience. 

The cafe operating hours are 7am - 5am, Closed Every Saturday. 

Responsibilities 

• Monitor and Manage Standard Operating Procedures 

• Monitor and Manage Quality Control of Craft

• Monitor and Manage Food Safety Compliance 

• Write Daily Reports 

• Assist General Manager w/ Training 

• Assist General Manager w/ Performance Management 

• Assist General Manager w/ System Development 

• Assist General Manager w/ Finance Budgets and Targets 

• Assist General Manager w/ Recruitment & Retention 

Requirements 

• Minimum 4 years experience at a similar professional food and beverage environment. 
• Advanced knowledge in service, communication, and culinary 
• Hospitlity degree is a plus 
• Professional references

Compensation

• $65,000
