How you will make an impact:
The Product Application Specialist will be a key member of the Digital PCR (dPCR) business, passionate about providing scientific expertise to raise awareness and educate the customers we serve on dPCR applications and our Absolute Q portfolio of products. This is crucial to develop customer content and supporting the business roadmap, collaborating across functions including product management, marketing, R&D and commercial teams.
What will you do?
- Provide dPCR technical leadership to support the business strategy and roadmap, including understanding the latest advancements, customer needs, market and competitor dynamics
- With R&D and marketing, review and generate customer facing content to support commercial activity. Examples include application notes, white papers, scientific posters, and presentations
- Provide content support for NPI and applications sales training
- Work with key opinion leaders (KOLs), collaborating in developing novel applications and supporting materials
- Perform bench work for applications development, and for potential support of commercial opportunities
- Act as liaison and enable communication across our scientific, business and field teams
- Present the dPCR portfolio and applications to internal and external customers
Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, genetics, or related field
- Advanced degree with work experience in the life science industry is strongly preferred
- Detailed understanding of digital PCR applications and theory. Knowledge and familiarity with the Applied Biosystems QuantStudio Absolute Q digital PCR system is a plus
- Experience in laboratory methods development, including assay optimization and creating standard operating protocols
- Excellent customer interpersonal skills, with experience in both pre-sales and post-sales settings
- Proven track record in meeting commitments and delivering results
- Ability to work collaboratively with a matrixed cross-functional team
