Job description
As an Architect on our team, you’ll build, operate, and maintain hybrid capabilities. You’ll manage and communicate risk, utilizing your ability to strategically think, develop plans, and orchestrate execution. You’ll collaborate with your team as we research the current environment and recommend tools and capabilities from various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll share expertise with your teammates as we help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with the Air Force to ensure standards are met throughout the process. This is an opportunity to use the latest on-prem and cloud technologies, as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using current capabilities and services. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in computer programming and scripting languages while developing critical systems for the Air Force. As a technical expert, you’ll identify new opportunities to build solutions to help our client meet their evolving needs. Help to build reliable and performance transactional data storage systems that are friendly to operate. Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to develop storage services that facilitate their success.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in providing technical support for system upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements
- 5+ years of experience in creating and maintaining highly reliable and scalable systems to reduce issues and downtime
- 3+ years of experience with developing hybrid on-prem and cloud solutions
- 3+ years of experience with employing and sustaining VMWare (v6.x and later), to include design and implementation of virtual data centers
- 3+ years of experience with designing and deploying highly available storage solutions with technologies such as Net Apps and other high-capacity storage solutions
- Experience in transforming large-scale software, data center, or on-premises infrastructure programs to a virtualized architecture
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, processes and tools, including Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Lambda, or Python
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills to interact with clients and to lead, train and mentor junior system administrators and cloud engineers
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in infrastructure support or HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience in infrastructure support
