Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Southwest Metro of Minneapolis (*This is an onsite role in Minnesota, only local residents are eligible to apply*)

Compensation: Up to $80,000 annually

Addison Group is excited to partner with a client in the South Metro area of Minneapolis in their search for an experienced Payroll Specialist. They are actively seeking a candidate with multi-state payroll experience and a solid background of 3+ years in full-cycle payroll preparation and processing.  This is a full-time opportunity, compensating up to $80,000 annually dependent on applicable experience.

Responsibilities:

• Process day-to-day multi-state payroll for up to 2,000 employees.
• Verify all payroll entries, including deductions, earnings, and changes; review and reconcile payroll data, resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Organize and verify data for final payroll runs before processing year-end W-2s; address and correct W-2 discrepancies.
• Collaborate with line managers and employees on inquiries, issues, and procedures affecting payroll and HR.
• Generate and present requested reports.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of Federal, State, and Local tax accounts; handle miscellaneous special projects or assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise with 3-5 years of professional experience as a payroll specialist.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll implementation.
• Proven track record of 3-5 years in effectively navigating and utilizing multiple payroll systems.
• Display a high level of professional conduct and maintain a positive demeanor.
• Capable of thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in handling various payroll systems.
• Keen attention to detail in all aspects of the payroll process.
• Ability to uphold and prioritize confidentiality.
