W.K. Dickson & CO., Inc. is a Community Infrastructure Engineering Consulting firm serving the Southeast. We currently have an opening for an Electrical Engineer in our Water and Wastewater Practice.
- Support project managers and civil/process engineers with electrical engineering services for municipal water and wastewater pumping and treatment projects
- Technical lead for the preparation of electrical engineering studies, designs, and contract documents (drawings and specifications)
- Assist the team with bidding and construction administration services for designed projects
- Prepare electrical drawings using AutoCAD
- Coordinate with other disciplines and subconsultants
Requirements
- Electrical Engineer with a minimum 5 years of experience in related, technical work in private consulting for municipal water and wastewater projects including the design and construction oversight of power, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, sewerage lift stations, water storage facilities, and booster pumping stations
- Experience with industrial power systems design including utility service coordination, low and medium voltage power distribution, constant and variable speed motor controls, and standby power systems
- Knowledge of wiring methodologies for instrumentation and control systems
- Understanding of the NEC, NFPA 820, and related Codes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Experience with Revit, SKM, and EasyPower is a bonus
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- BS in Electrical Engineering
