College Division: Student Success Salary Plan : Administrative Job Code/Title: 8226 / Asst Dir Student Outreach Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $60,000 Position Number : 00005020 ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY: The Division of Student Success at the University of South Florida is comprised of 60 departments, providing students with academic support, engagement opportunities, health & wellness services and enhancement of the educational experience. POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Director of Student Outreach serves as a university wide liaison between educational partners and the community, academic programs, and Student Services programs; plans and implements outreach activities in collaboration with high school representatives and community partners; participates in the development and implementation of the on-boarding process and completion of success steps for prospective students; gathers data and prepares reports related to enrollment and outreach activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates and participates in outreach and access activities for the community and university partners with a focus on diversity; provides information on student success programs and services; coordinates campus and site tours and visits partners and community agencies. Conduct meetings, conferences, and special events on and office campus. Researches, develops, and maintains programmatic relevance related to trends and shifts in student demographics. Prepares reports related to outreach activities, enrollment, and high school yield rates. Supports outreach and access efforts on behalf of various initiatives and categorical programs; collaborates on outreach efforts with instructional departments may provide support to the community and university partners. Works collaboratively with university faculty and staff, departments, and community partners. Serves as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area. Maintain effective communication with feeder schools and Community Based Organizations. Propose new ideas, plans and implement events and workshops with educational partners, prospective students, and community agencies. Performs other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience -OR- equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of one (1) year managerial experience. Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to partner and build strategic relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders.
