Job description
Bethel Church of Redding is seeking a passionate and dedicated Outreach Benevolence Coordinator to join our team. As an integral part of our ministry, you will have the opportunity to impact communities and individuals in need by providing financial assistance. As the Outreach Benevolence Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our benevolence programs. This includes coordinating with various community organizations and partners, identifying and assessing needs, developing and implementing programs, managing resources, and providing support and assistance to those in need. You will work closely with volunteers and team members to ensure efficient and effective operations, and contribute to the overall vision and goals of our ministry.
Salary: $12,500 to $13,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the benevolence programs, including resource allocation, volunteer coordination, and program development.
- Identify and assess the needs of individuals and families in the community, and develop strategies to address those needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, churches, and partners to enhance the effectiveness of our benevolence programs.
- Develop and implement outreach initiatives to reach the marginalized and vulnerable populations in the community.
- Provide support, guidance, and assistance to individuals and families in need, including conducting assessments and connecting them with appropriate resources.
- Collaborate with other ministry teams to ensure the integration of benevolence programs with the overall vision and goals of the church.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the benevolence programs, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Submit all card, check, and cash receipts to Accounting through Nexonia.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to the mission and values of Bethel Church of Redding.
- Knowledge or willing to learn local community resources and social services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help and support others.
- Proficient in Google Drive.
- A heart to serve the city of Redding.
