The Consumer Protection Section, Antitrust Unit is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join its collaborative team! This position offers the opportunity to be involved in meaningful work that protects the consumers of Colorado. The DOL is currently offering a sign-on bonus for new paralegal hires of $1,000.
Sign-On bonuses will be paid based on the following timeline:
$500.00 – Time of hire
$500.00 – Time of certification (typically 12 months after hire)

WHAT YOU WILL DOThe Antitrust Unit exists to investigate and bring civil lawsuits for violations of the Colorado Antitrust Act of 1992 ("Antitrust Act"), § 6-1-1101, et seq., CRS (2006). The attorneys and legal assistants prepare the enforcement actions including but not limited to complaints, other disciplinary actions such as letters of admonition, assurances of discontinuance, settlement agreements, and final orders. The unit also drafts and assist in legislative initiatives and participate in miscellaneous antirust and consumer protection business related projects.
The Senior Paralegal in the Antitrust Unit provides professional and technical assistance to the unit’s attorneys as well as other units in the Consumer Protection section. This position will provide litigation support, trial preparation and assistance as well as interact with other legal representatives and the public. These duties include but are not limited to: Litigation SupportAlthough a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
