Tanner Health System is recruiting a PRN Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant to work one weekend per month with the Carrollton Surgical Group practice.

Structure of position:
* Schedule:
- Saturday Sunday, 7:00am – until last inpatient rounded on

* Rotate between Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica
* Support provided by on call general surgeon
* Tanner utilizes EPIC EMR systemwide
* Competitive compensation for weeekend shift plus additional perks

Education
Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program

Experience
Six months of related experience preferred

Licenses Certifications
*Georgia Registered Nurse License
*Georgia Nurse Practitioner License

*Physician's Assistant
*Healthcare Provider (CPR)

Qualifications
*Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public screening events.
*ACLS recommended.
*Additional certification will be required for some specialties (i.e. ACLS, PALS)
*Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Georgia
*Graduate of a recognized program for Nurse Practitioner training (MSN) or Physician Assistant program.
*Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians
*Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.
*Must meet credentialing criteria.
*Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital and/or other physician.
*Must possess the sense or discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards.
*Prior experience in a like specialty required.
