Job description

Overview

This position performs ordered electroencephalographic (EEG) procedures, which may include sleep studies, to inpatients and outpatients. This position analyzes data during the recording, making certain that the information being obtained is valid and interpretable. This position manages, cleans, sets up, and orders Respiratory Therapy equipment.

Position Available

Per Diem 

OJT (on the job training available)

CNA experience desired, but not neccesary 

Responsibilities

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Requires one of the following: Registry by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT), Registry by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST) or R. EEG T. certification from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).

Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

CRT or RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
