We are currently offering a $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS to brand new full time employees working over 37.5 hours per week or a $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS for part time employees working 20 or more hours per week.

As a Residential Clinician at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Red Hook, NY, this position will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of behavior intervention and treatment plans. The Clinician will consult with residential staff on the implementation and training of individual's behavior plans. They will conduct observations and provide feedback to staff in milieu strategies associated with DPBIS. 

 

Salary: $58,458.40+ per year, increases depending on education and experience.

EDUCATION:  Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Licensure or certification as a social worker, psychologist, mental health counselor, or other related field required.

 

EXPERIENCE : At least one year of experience working with a developmentally disabled population, or graduate study in specific treatment methods applicable to this population. Prefer experience with behavior modification and experience in a coordinating or supervisory position. Strong interpersonal skills required. Must be able to get along with many diverse personalities. Must handle detailed, complex concepts and problems and make rapid decisions. Incumbent must possess writing skills adequate to convey complex issues and concepts in a concise and intelligible manner.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 20 or more lbs. is required.
