Job description
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a company with a successful history of manufacturing liquid, semi-solid and powder formulations of both prescription and OTC products in its search for a Mechanic Foreman in Brockton, MA. The Mechanic Foreman is responsible for coordinating and directing other mechanics, and providing support to the operation of Manufacturing, Production, Engineering and Facility Departments through safe and efficient repair and maintenance of all plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. Responsibilities:
- Supervises, directs and coordinates the work efforts of one or more mechanics in maintaining normal operations.
- Provides training, work leadership, direction, and instruction to less experienced personnel.
- Coordinates operations for machine set-up, facility repairs, machine repairs and maintenance.
- Performs or directs any required building/facility maintenance and/or repair work to the facility.
- Examine machines for defects in operation and locate faulty parts by observing and listening to machines while in operation.
- Repairs defective pieces of machinery and equipment.
- Removes, replaces, or fabricates defective parts. Reassembles and tests performance of machines to make any necessary adjustments after repair work.
- Performs maintenance work through scheduled or necessary cleaning, oiling and adjustment of parts or plant machinery and equipment.
- Sets-up, adjusts and assists in the operation of production machinery.
- Participates in the installation, assembly, set-up, alignment, and qualification of new machines.
- Lays out installation and sets up the alignment of new installation, machines, or improved utilities.
- Maintains adequate supply of spare parts. Works closely with vendors and the purchasing department for the requisitioning and expediting of spare parts.
- Assists Production Manager and Compounding Manager with all documents related to set up and maintenance of machinery.
- Participates in, or may be responsible for, engineering a process equipment operation.
- Works closely with the manufacturing department in determining process capabilities for packaging and processing operation.
Required Skills
- Ability for heavy lifting, shoveling, climbing, moving equipment and heavy items.
- Multitask – work on multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
- Strong attention to detail Must be detail oriented, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

- Must be able to follow key process steps.
- Strong organizational skills, prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
- Works well in a team environment but can work independently.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- 8+ years related experience.
- Supervisory experience required.
