Regional Procurement Manager

Northland Controls is seeking a well-qualified Regional Procurement Manager.

The focus of the Regional Procurement Manager is to develop, implement, and maintain the necessary processes that will allow the team to efficiently and effectively process all internal customers' requests of pricing, negotiating, acquiring, and allocating all goods and services demanded to fulfill our business needs at the best value for Northland Control Systems Inc. and all our Business Partners while ensuring adherence to all Best Global Procurement Practices.


Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to document procurement policies, procedures and training materials that can be leveraged to train new staff and be used for new ERP design.


• Supervise, train and mentor US procurement staff, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

• Manage item master team to ensure up to data pricing and item lists.


• Manage and allocate purchase orders requests for all materials, sub-contracting, services, and all other internal requests.


• Support program managers, engineers, and estimators in preparations of estimates by contacting vendors for pricing and availability for equipment and materials.


• Collaborate to establish and implement global purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures that decrease overall cost, but are in-line with optimal inventory levels.


• Collaborate with Operations Teams to establish inventory safety stock levels, reorder amounts, and lead times for all materials and finished goods.

• Develop and manage the regional procurement budget, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.

• Utilize data and analytics to make informed procurement decisions, monitor trends, and optimize procurement processes.

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with regional suppliers.


• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and conduct regular performance evaluations. Address performance issues and implement improvement plans as needed.


• RMA/Credits & Repairs tasks

Qualifications

• Supply Management and Construction procurement experience preferred.


• Management experience preferred.

• Tracking Budget Expenses

• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office


• Documentation Skills


• Excellent communication and writing skills.


Management Duties

• Will manage 1-3 employees including remote employees.


• To trust and empower your direct reports, involve them in problem solving and decision making.


• To support your direct reports with their career development and progression.


• To be available for your direct reports and hold one-to-one meetings when needed.


• To set clear goals and objectives, to support and advise as required.


Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree or related field.

8+ Years of experience in a Procurement/Supply Chain Role

Proven Team Leadership Skills

Preferred Education/Experience

MBA or Supply Chain Management Certification

Business Process Improvement

SAP/Oracle NetSuite

Security industry experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This position requires regular office attendance.


Expected Hours

This is a full-time position, 40 hours a work week.


Travel

This position requires minimal travel.


Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the country of employment.
