Application Programmer

• Candidate MUST have at least 12 years of overall IT experience Candidate MUST have State of Louisiana Department of Education experience

• Candidate MUST be local to Louisiana.

The following list of technologies may potentially be used in this project pending final approval by the Office of Technology Services (OTS). All development must meet OTS standards and must be able to be transferred the to the State for the State to maintain and support without the need of third-party contracts or services. Technology might include:

• SQL Server
• MS Visual Studio .NET
• Power BI
• Google Sheets API
• Relativity

Final technology requirements will be defined through an agreed upon project plan by LDOE, OTS and the vendor.

Mandatory Skills:

1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related field. Certifications in relevant programming languages and technologies are preferred.
2. Hands-on experience in software development, with a proven track record of designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex applications.
3. Advanced knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices. Ability to architect and implement scalable, modular, and maintain systems.
4. In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
