YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE TO:

• Foster positive behavior among students, assisting with coping skills, and ensuring compliance with Individual Educational Plans (IEP)
• Provide counseling services to clients
• Provide support for special education students to manage outbursts or behavioral issues
• Conduct one-on-one mental health therapy sessions, utilizing our Trauma-Informed Care approach
• Conduct non-stigmatizing screenings to evaluate mental health and support service needs of clients, formulating and implementing treatment plans accordingly
• Conduct periodic evaluations for all clients
• Oversee case management work of our case managers and advocates
• Perform comprehensive assessments for mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence, and medical needs
• Provide early interventions and referrals to specialty mental health services
• Facilitate and oversee case management and support groups for victims of domestic violence
• Attend case management and support group meetings
• Maintain accurate client records
• Supervise interns

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey
• Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program or one in candidacy for CSWE accreditation, or a doctorate in social work from a CSWE-accredited institution
• 2+ years of full-time clinical social work (equivalent to 3,000 hours under the direct supervision of an LCSW subsequent to earning an MSW)
• Ability to renew your license every 2 years
