Position Summary/Description:

A SIGN -ON BONUS OF $4,235 IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT OF THIS POSITION PAID IN 2 INSTALLMENTS WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF HIRE :
$2,117.50 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $2,117.50 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE .

Works independently and assists Facilities Services Housing Support electronic/electrical shop in the unit's daily functions, including but not limited to field installation of electronic building access systems, including assisting in the design; routine maintenance on building mechanical access systems and hardware that interfaces with the electronic systems; Preventative Maintenance (PM); repair of electronic access-security systems including troubleshooting, repair or replacement of electronic devices and controls; providing support for additional electronic systems including fire alarm and security systems; modification of existing electronic systems to improve performance; responding to requests from customers, other technicians and supervisors; and training users in proper utilization of installed equipment. Installs, repairs, troubleshoots, and upgrades electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code and University specifications.

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree in electronics; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
