Recruiting NOW - REMOTE 20 hour per week intern.
Social Media Intern: Remote position, must submit daily reports and appear to weekly meetings.
Graphic and Social Media Intern to support our mission. The intern will be responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Social media will be focused on building consistency, community and generating interest. Focused on being a social community and converting content that turns a prospect into a client.
This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand and driving clients to the website.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain visual identity standards for project-related brands.
- Create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media.
- Stylize Scientific Reports in MS Word and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Design Web elements such as banners, icons, featured images, etc.
- Develop a variety of communications collateral including PowerPoint Presentations, Infographics, Fact Sheets, Program Booklets, social media graphics, etc.
- Video editing, animation, and production.
- Develop brands, logos, icons.
- Test graphics across various media.
- Create graphics repositories for blog posts and other digital media.
- Graphics maintenance tasks (e.g. cropping photos, creating templates, vectorizing images).
- Develop style sheets and creative briefs.
- Track and report website statistics using Google Analytics. Look at how well specific content performs and look at the flow of traffic through to our Web site.
- Scheduling and coordinating a monthly brainstorming meeting with administrative leadership to establish content ideas for the month ahead, and to plan for a monthly social media, marketing and press release.
- Assist with streamlining company social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms), ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within the communities.
- Increase the number of followers we have on Facebook & LinkedIn by following and engaging with potential clients and candidates.
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Graphic Design, Design, Fine Arts Students, or a related field is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Proven graphic designing experience.
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop).
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
Basic Requirements:
- Extreme flexibility with ever-changing demands and requirements of clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to accomplish multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and strong internet search capability; Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required; Fireworks or Dreamweaver optional; E-Learning software: Articulate optional.
- Track and report website statistics using Google Analytics. Look at how well specific content performs and look at the flow of traffic through to our Web site.
- Excellent relationship skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated ability to work on virtual teams.
- Good customer service and strong attention to detail are a must.
- Must provide portfolio samples.
