Job description

Nature of Work 
The incumbent in this position is responsible for observing and monitoring Casino operations in order to ensure compliance with Seminole Tribal Gaming Commission (STGC) approved policies and procedures, Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS), as well as any state compacts and/or federal regulations. The agent is responsible for conducting daily routine observation of activities that occur on the gaming floor, including identifying procedural infractions and/or criminal activity. The individual notifies management and supervisors of any/all suspicious activities and/or irregular circumstances and any other special observation request. The incumbent documents procedural infractions incurred by Casino personnel. This position reports to the STGC Surveillance Manager or Supervisor and is a non-exempt position.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

 

Minimum Requirements 
High School diploma or equivalent GED required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with computers, surveillance cameras and monitors, recording devices and/or hand held communication devices is preferred. Previous Commission, Surveillance, and/or Gaming experience is preferred. Additional relevant experience and education will be considered. Knowledge of criminal offenses and the regulations concerning Tribal Gaming is required. Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time is required. Demonstrate the ability to prepare organized and clear reports. Ability to obtain and maintain an effective working knowledge of the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) regulations and the Seminole Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), and other procedures and standards is required. Ability to meet standards established in order to obtain and maintain active the Employee Gaming License, is required. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays is required. Due to the nature of the business, all applicants must be 21 years of age or older.


Physical Demands
The position requires the incumbent to perform moderate physical activity. Requires the handling/lifting/carrying of objects up to 15 pounds. Requires standing, walking and/or sitting for more than four (4) hours at a time per day. Requires the ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.

 

Working Conditions 
Works in a dimly lit, clean, air-conditioned office area, with little noise.

 

Closing

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
