MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Advanced Technical Ceramics Company in Chattanooga, TN specializes in strong, durable, and precise ceramics for challenging environments and is AS9100D certified. AdTech is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates to fill the position of Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for plant maintenance and the safe and efficient repair of electronic equipment in accordance with all existing codes and regulations.
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of systems controls, both electrical and electronic, and for any necessary building modifications.
- Provides multi-dimensional expertise in the maintenance, trouble shooting, calibration, adjustment and repair of a wide variety of complex, interrelated process machinery and equipment.
- Responsible for HVAC work and related preventative maintenance of calibrations, pumps, motors and controls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED, plus a two-year degree in electronics or a related technical field.
- Possess a 2 year work history in a minimum of two of the following crafts: 1) electrical, 2) welding, 3) machining, 4) mechanics 5) air conditioning & refrigeration, and 6) general building maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blue prints and pneumatic drawings.
- Vision corrected to 20/20 (contacts not allowed in plant).
- Prefer a Journeyman Electrician’s Card.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Possess broad working knowledge of machinery/special tools to perform job functions with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Possess a positive attitude and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Capable of working unsupervised and being a self-starter.
