Job description
Airswift is looking for a Construction Project Coordinator to work for a major Power Client in Norfolk, VA, for an initial 1-year assignment.
Objective:
- Provide onsite support during the construction of Dominion Energy's (DE's) operations base (Ops Base) located at Fairwinds Landing in Norfolk, VA. This development will include wharf improvements and the construction of a 48,000 square foot building. The Ops Base will serve as the operations and maintenance center for the CVOW project.
Scope of Work: - Provide an experienced and skilled on-site owner's representative on a 40 hours per week basis, supporting DE in monitoring work progress with a particular focus on construction costs, performance, quality, and schedule;
- Collaborate with contractors on HSE matters;
- Conduct detailed reviews of contract documents, pay requisitions, invoices including subcontractors, and change order requests;
- Attend and participate in weekly construction, safety, and schedule meetings as well as attending the monthly owners' meetings; and
- Respond to technical and commercial inquiries related to Ops Base construction as well as future operations of this operations port.
Deliverables: - Review and comment on RFIs, change order requests, pay requisitions, and contractor and subcontractor invoices,
- Prepare weekly reports,
- Prepare detailed monthly cost variance analysis reports comparing costs incurred to the project budget,
- Conduct detailed reviews of the construction schedule to monitor progress,
- Attend and participate in meetings with DE and Fairwinds.
