Job description
The Lead Electrical Engineer- Electrical & Instrumentation is a critical role for the successful delivery of electrical and instrumentation projects. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, maintenance and operation of electrical and instrumentation systems in both new and existing facilities. This position requires strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design experience, and the ability to lead a team of engineers.
Position Overview:
- Coordinate and manage the electrical design and engineering of projects of any size
- Lead engineering and teams of engineers for electrical design, drafting, analysis, and other engineering activities
- Establish and maintain standards for electrical safety, reliability, and performance
- Develop and maintain project plans and schedules
- Prepare and review electrical engineering documents such as drawings, specifications, and reports
- Maintain technical engineering knowledge and experience to ensure proper design of electrical systems
- Ensure projects are managed and delivered within budget and on time
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical and instrumentation systems
- Design and develop electrical systems for new or existing facilities
- Oversee the development of system drawings, schematics, and documents
- Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical advice
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to engineering teams
- Implement and maintain industry standards and safety protocols
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of engineering documents and drawings
- Monitor project budgets and schedules
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational problems
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design
