Job Summary:
About the Role & Team
The Revenue Management & Analytics organization is part of the Commercial Strategy team that supports clients across Disney Experiences including Ticketing, Resorts, Merchandise and Food & Beverage in the core proficiencies of yield management, revenue planning, pricing, promotions, and optimization using mathematical and statistical techniques.
Our team has strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills, including sophisticated knowledge of revenue management principles, demonstrated experience with statistical/data science modeling, data visualization, and data manipulation. We are passionate about driving business performance and enhancing guest experience. Strong candidates will be clear communicators and engaged team members with an eagerness to apply technical and analytical skills to complex business questions.
This position will report to the Manager-Revenue Management & Analytics.
What You Will Do
- Pricing – Recommend and facilitate annual and seasonal pricing for park admission products by analyzing historic and forward-looking data and incorporating business goals
- Applied Analytics – Leverage mathematical and statistical techniques to drive insights, capitalize on opportunities for process improvements
- Data Visualization – Present complex analytical findings in clear business terms to facilitate acceptance and execution by business partners and senior executives.
- Business Goal Achievement – Evaluate key business drivers to measure the success of pricing decisions and identify strategic opportunities
- Partner Collaboration – Develop and nurture relationships with Marketing, Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics (CIMA), Disney Decision Science & Integration (DDSI), Legal, and Forecasting/Revenue Management to communicate performance, drive new initiatives, and identify strategic opportunities' impacts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ years of work experience in statistical, business analysis, and/or strategy development
- Proficiency in acquiring and manipulating large amounts of data, experience leveraging SQL and Tableau, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shift between technical and non-technical terminology depending on audience
- Proven problem-solving, creative thinking, and partnering skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal direction
- Proven exceptional sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting
- Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement)
- Experience with one or more advanced modeling tools (R, Python, etc.)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Industrial Engineering or another quantitative field
The hiring range for this position in California is $84,600 - $103,400 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
