Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital & Health Center is a leading healthcare facility committed to providing exceptional emergency medical care to our community. With a 15 bed ER and robust annual patient volume of 29,000, we pride ourselves on our dedication to excellence and cutting-edge services. As a STEMI-receiving center, an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP), and a certified Thrombectomy-capable stroke center, we are at the forefront of emergency medicine. Additionally, our designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center certified by LA County underscores our commitment to delivering the highest standard of care to every patient who walks through our doors.

As our Director of Nursing ER, you will lead upwards of 50 staff members and be r esponsible for driving the overall quality of care provided by department personnel. You will advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to emergency service and strategies.

You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to senior leadership.

Utilizing your excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups, you will tackle tough conversations and, above all, be an educator at heart.
