About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for Senior Construction Project Manager to join our Store Construction team. This individual is responsible for managing multiple retail construction and improvement projects from concept to project closeout. Position requires accountability to “on budget” project delivery, detailed schedule management, document administration, forecasting & risk analysis, and management of multiple internal and professional service providers.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
- Prepare state, federal, and Canadian tax adjustment calculations with support.
- Create construction project estimates from feasibility plans and site evaluation.
- Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors.
- Develop construction project with internal partners, architect, engineers, and trade workers.
- Establish construction project scopes and schedules for use during request for proposal phase.
- Lead GC interactions during project bidding, award, execution, closeout, and punch phases
- Conduct negotiations with GC’s and evaluate bids for alignment with contract documents.
- Construction document management including submittal review, RFI’s, change orders and invoicing.
- Accountable for overall quality of completed project.
- Coordination with construction procurement to order and manage owner provided materials and equipment.
- Provide internal reporting and projections for timely budget and schedule forecasting.
- Oversee and supervise construction project and provide reports on timeline, construction progress, and potential concerns.
- Provide timely insight and solutions into potential cost, schedule, or scope impacts.
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
- Ensure that projects are completed and closed out on time and within budget.
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement process within the Construction team and the full real estate team at large.
What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of experience as a construction manager or in a similar position in construction management. Experience with managing multiple retail project rollouts at one time is preferred.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time and schedules efficiently.
- Able to manage multiple associated professionals and internal business partners across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possesses a high level of experience with the following: retail tenant improvements; multiple project management; construction administration; detailing bid scope; project schedule management; project closeout.
- Demonstrates a strong technical understanding of construction drawings, construction specifications, and required construction documentation.
- Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in working in highly collaborative, cross functional environments with partner teams spanning all business functions.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving ability with realistic and cost-effective solutions.
- Goal-oriented and organized leadership
- In-depth understanding of the construction industry
- Self-motivated and self-directed

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.
- Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a remote office location.
- Ability to travel up to 50% each month.

The starting salary for this position is $92,800 -154,600 and may increase to $193,300 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
