We are seeking a highly skilled Consumer Loan Manager with a solid understanding of compliance regulations in various states to join our dedicated team.
Job Summary: As the Consumer Loan Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our consumer lending operations across multiple states. Your expertise in state-specific regulations and compliance requirements will ensure that our lending processes align with legal standards and industry best practices. Your focus on operational efficiency, team leadership, and excellent customer service will contribute to the growth and success of our consumer lending department. There will be 2 employees who will report to you in the Consumer Lending department.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of 2 customer service and collections specialists, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality loan origination and customer service.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of consumer lending regulations, compliance, and licensing requirements in various states where our services are offered.
- Ensure all consumer loan applications and processes adhere to state-specific laws, industry guidelines, and company policies.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to implement and enforce lending policies and procedures that align with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor loan portfolio performance, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Review and assist with compiling quarterly and annual state audit reports.
- Participate in the development and implementation of technology-driven solutions to streamline lending operations.
- Provide regular reports and updates on lending activities, performance metrics, and compliance status to senior management.
- Stay informed about changes in consumer lending regulations, industry trends, and best practices, and communicate updates to the team and stakeholders.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Consumer Loan Manager, overseeing consumer lending operations in multiple states.
- In-depth knowledge of consumer lending regulations, compliance requirements, and licensing in various states.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve exceptional results.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance in all lending activities.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive operational efficiencies.
- Proficiency in using loan origination software and other relevant financial systems.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities in complex lending scenarios.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving industry, embracing innovation and technology-driven solutions.
