Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

The Department of Dermatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking academic medical dermatologists with interests in patient care and teaching. Our department of 17 dermatologists provides unique opportunities for medical dermatologists to practice and teach at the Medical Center in the Longwood Medical Area and in our department’s state-of-the-art practices in Chestnut Hill and/or Needham.

We have models that provide options for inpatient and outpatient opportunities depending on interests.

As a major Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, we provide training for Harvard Medical School students, fellows, and residents. Ideal candidates must have excellent clinical skills and a passion for teaching, and working with residents. Interest in clinical research is strongly encouraged. The candidate must be board-eligible or certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. A commitment to the values of an academic environment is required.

Academics and compensation:

The compensation package includes an excellent base salary, an incentive program, and generous fringe benefits. Employment and benefits are offered by Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians.

Appointment as an Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor at the Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will have an MD or an MD-PhD, and Board Certification in Dermatology.
