POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Administrator in our Alexandria, Virginia location. Under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources, incumbent will be responsible for all payroll functions, reviewing timecards to ensure employees are accurately recording time and completing their time sheets. You will work with employees to resolve timekeeping errors, and also approve the timecard be the supervisor approval deadline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with managers to ensure daily workforce timekeeping records are complete and accurate enterprise-wide.
- Enter and update employee information in the timekeeping and payroll systems.
- Answer employee questions and troubleshoot employee timekeeping issues.
- Process terminations in timekeeping and payroll systems.
- Serve as primary contact for ADP and timekeeping issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School diploma, Bachelor's preferred.
- Experience working with Paychex is preferred
- Experience processing payroll for 100+ employees
- At least 1-3 years of timekeeping experience.
- Familiar with timekeeping reporting and payroll systems, ADP Workforce Now and eTIME preferred, Paychex.
- Excellent mathematics and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work well in a fast paced environment and work on multiple projects simultaneously without losing focus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ethics.
